CarloC 0 #1 May 8, 2011 Hi, in all my skydiving history, i never wanted to touch a camera setup, but now i want to mount one and i searched like crazy here and could not find good examples, anyway... I got a Rawa top mount box for a cx 150, with a pre drilled hole in the bottom with 0,67" wide, i suppose is to pass the half moon connector. I got a helmet, not a rawa with a flat top to put the cx 150 box, so here are my questions... 1. Do i need to drill a hole in the helmet the same size as in the box and below to pass the sony av connector? its about 0,67" 2. What size do i need to drill to put the hypeye buttom in the helmet? so the only thing in the outside is the push buttom Im sorry if these are stupid questions, but my hypeye is not here yet anf i got someone to drill the holes for me and i dont have no one here where i live to help me, so have some patience. I think it's a 3/4" hole for the HypEye D Pro button hole and then I use an 0-ring to keep the button from getting pushed back into the helmet by wrapping that around the button edge once pushed through the hole. I can verify the hole size tomorrow when I'm back at the shop. MikeChutingStar.com

chutingstar 1 #4 May 12, 2011 Just checked on my HypEye D Pro button holes... It's a 5/8" hole and then I use a #10 O-Ring to secure the button flange once pushed through the hole. This works on most carbon fiber helmets as they are relatively thin. For composite or fiberglass helmets, such as a Rawa, we make the 5/8" hole, but then make two small holes on both sides of the main hole that you can use to zip-tie the two cables exiting the button to the inside of the helmet...which also keeps the button from being pushed back into the helmet. Zip-ties come with the HypEye D Pro. MikeChutingStar.com

I used your o-ring trick on my Optic/Hypeye and it works perfectly but a buddy of mine has a different helmet and the button doesn't protrude far enough to get an o-ring on it so I will pass along the wire tie trick!! Thanks again and Blue Skies, Jason
