d123 4 #1 December 27, 2010 I'm looking into filming 4ways and working up to fliming tandems. Is the camera Jacket enough for those actions? Regards, Jean-Arthur Deda.Lock, Dock and Two Smoking Barrelrolls!
sinjin 0 #2 December 27, 2010 yes. the size of the jacket , will depend on your weight. some of the factors include how much you are changing back and forth from non camera jumps, weather (temp) ,and how many jumps per day. do some solos and fun jumps with belly flyers before you use it with tandems. figure out what kind of wing attachment you prefer and is best for your rig or rigs.dont let life pass you by
dragon2 2 #3 December 27, 2010 For 4way, you really want booties. For tandems, I do ok without, but for FS4 I change my jacket + freefly pants to jacket + birdman pantz for the drag, because I'm too cheap to buy a new suit If you do buy a jacket, make sure you can attach it to any pants you wear with it (snap buttons), for safety's sake. Also, the jacket's I see here are too much wing rather than "enough", you likely want something with smaller wings to start with, something without attachable wings (no clips). ciel bleu, Saskia
jtiflyer 0 #4 December 27, 2010 yes if you have the skill to fly it. booties are not needed for 4-way been shooting 4-way for years and never needed them. a jacket will be fine if you have the right size wing for your weight.

DSE 5 #6 December 28, 2010 Freakin' Suit and Tonysuit have been very good for me. I had a Bev suit for a while too.
Icon134 0 #7 December 28, 2010 I have a Bev suit Camera suit with booties (that started out as a RW suit and was later converted...) It's a really well made suit and I do like it for large formation video... I also have a camera jacket/freefly pants combination from Tonysuits that I prefer for tandems (although I'm in the process of replacing the camera Jacket with one from Bev) at my Tonysuit jacket has always felt too big/loose... I'll let you know how I like my Bev Suit Camera/Freefly Jacket... ScottLivin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
Jethers203 0 #8 December 31, 2010 I just film tandems and love my jacket. I got it from Flite Suit. http://www.flitesuit.com/camerawing.html The thing I like about it is the versatility. For smaller passengers I can wear freefly pants, for medium sized passengers - jeans, for larger passengers - shorts. Summer time, you can't beat jumping in shorts. It's easy to put on, take off, and significantly cheaper. My wings attach with RSL shackels and I attach them to either the legstrap hardware or a pair of slinks that is wrapped around my legstrap webbing. Depending on the size of the passenger, this makes the wing tighter or looser. Anyway, just my thoughts.
