PhreeZone 20 #1 April 22, 2009 For anyone that decided to get HD-DVD's when it looked like that platform was winning the HD format war there is finally some good news if you want to get those titles in Blu-Ray. Warner Brothers has introduced a Red-to-Blu program that allows you to trade in just the HD-DVD covers and a few $ to get new Blu-Rays of the same title. http://www.red2blu.com/products.html There are only about 130 titles that are included in this list right now but it at least it might free you up from having to have 2 players for your HD content.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
DSE 5 #2 April 22, 2009 Wasn't aware of this, Phree, thanks for sharing. I've got quite a few unopened HD DVD discs...
PhreeZone 20 #3 April 22, 2009 Doesn't even need to be unopened. All they want is the paper sleeve from the HD-DVD for the trade in. You get to keep the case and the disk. If someone really wanted to keep their HD-DVD's they would run copies and send the originals in and put the sleeve copies back into the case.
