plunge14500 0 #1 June 25, 2003 Good evening. Just a quick question. I am a new jumper and looking for a new jumpsuit. I am working on RW now. I weigh 210 lbs and fall fairly fast 136-140 average w/o trying. I would like opinions on what size I should get. I was told by a couple people to buy a baggy suit, yet I see formation divers wearing mostly tighter suits. Please help.
AggieDave 6 #2 June 25, 2003 Howdy. You might want to talk to your instructors to see if you need anything to help you speed up or slow down. That is the basic idea behind jumpsuits, to help with fall rate control. Since you're a new jumper you may not know what you need in a suit. They'd help point you in a good direction. If you go to the RW forum, you'll see a couple different threads that I started along these lines (RW suits). I'm 280 out the door with not much "natural arch" (read: I'm just a big dude, not a total fatass) and needed something to give me a wide range of control. Since fast is very easy for me (170mph on my belly has been done), slow is what I needed. I got responses for pros/cons of different manufactures AND I posted my review of the Bev Suit I bought. You might find this informative. Good Luck!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

lfhower 0 #4 June 25, 2003 Hey Jeff, was your paracommander pattern called the "Clown" I couldn't tell from the picture of you going into the pool, looks like a lot of green. The pattern was red, white, blue, black, green, and gold on the clown. I had one from '67 till '70. Wish I had never sold it. I was in a Pioneer piggyback with a 26 foot triconical reserve. Always remember, when you get where you're going, there you are!
