everymansaved 0 #1 April 29, 2008 Hey all. I have a Stroboframe 300-QRC and a camera that they do not make a specific anti-twist plate for. The camera I have (Pentax *istDL) requires me to loosen the quick release plate to change batteries, and I'm begining to have problems with alignment. I traced an outline of the plate on the bottom of the camera to help, but it's not foolproof. Has anyone had a similar problem? How did you fix it? Thanks in advance! PhreeZone 20 #3 April 30, 2008 Here is a better solution: http://reallyrightstuff.com/rrs/items.asp?Cc=BodyPentaxist&iTpStatus=0&Tp=&Bc=. Kirk makes one too that is about the same price. I perfer RRS since they have lever clamps. I ditched my 300-QRC this year on my XTI or a RRS mount and can't be happier. The QRC's are rated for a max weight of 6.6 pounds of body and lens. During a hard opening your camera can easily exceed that. I can leave the bracket on all the time and still change batteries and with the L bracket I flip back and forth on orientations as I want.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
