CKSCUBA 0 #1 February 4, 2008 i own 4 hc40's none work at all. touch screen firmware issues ect. I also own one hc 42 that the touch screen works sometimes and not others. of course sony sucks ass about support for their products does anyone know where i can down load a firmware to reinstall the the hc40 software. sony will do it for $250 - thats nice of them. can anyone help me out with some direction? anyone repair these things on their own?? thanks again chris Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
DSE 5 #2 February 4, 2008 chris, Can you "frankenstein" one of em' by taking parts from one and putting into another? I don't know where you can download any firmware; AFAIK it has to be done via the 1394 bus, and is done from a Flash system. Your local repair shop should be able to advise you better?
