Malev 0 #1 June 6, 2003 Hi, Based on reading comments about good goggles for contact lense wearers, I nabbed my first piece of skydiving kit, a pair of Sorz goggles. The question is - should I tape over the two vent holes by the straps? The ones I've been using (a tasteful bright pink, chosen since no-one in their right mind would buy them and chosen since the DZ shop was unable to sell them) have tape over the vents to stop the wind from blowing the contacts out of the eyes. On a side note - whats the best way to clean them? Soft glasses cloth? Thanks,
BenGriffiths 0 #2 June 6, 2003 I don't tape the air holes I jump with contact lenses all the time. I've only once had a contact lens fall out, and that was on my back-loops in RAPS. I've never had any other problems. Although I've only ever done RW. I've not tried any free flying yet. One problem with taping the holes is that when you in the plane they will steam up ever easier.---------- Ben G Still Sinking :-(
