everymansaved 0 #1 November 12, 2007 Hey all, I'm building a box for my PC120 and am modeling it after the Cookie Blackbox, especially in regards to how it opens. I'm not too far along yet (just finishing the foam mold) but already I'm having a bit of a hard time visualizing how to cut the box in half. Can anybody help me out and post some pictures of the front view of a PC series Blackbox? I need to know where they make that cut so that it works with both the lens assembly and the bottom of the case. Is a completely linear cut, or does it change directions part way through? I have one that i can photograph for you. a Pc105 box, however i am concerned that i would be helping you makes something that a fellow skydiver may have a Patent on. As for legality, I'm not trying to build multiple boxes and profit from it, I'm just doing this for myself. And I'm not trying to make a replica, just looking for ideas on one aspect of it...God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires. Hell i have a bonehead d-box for that camera i can sell you.It can be top mounted or side mounted either way. A friend will bail you out of jail , a REAL friend will be sitting next to you in the cell slapping your hand saying "DUDE THAT WAS AWSUM " ................ everymansaved 0 #6 November 12, 2007 Thanks man, that's exactly what I needed. And as for buying one, this is more of a project to see what I can do. I have all winter, and if I need to buy one because I couldn't get it perfect, so be it. And they are expensive. I believe they're $269 for a BlackBox, which is more than I spent on the camera! I know I can get the BH cheaper, but I don't really like that style.
