Buy a "new" camera?

I'm not totally sure if I should give up on my PC-9. It was flashing an error code for most of the day (c-21) but is now working again. It seems like it has been flashing that error code with an increasing frequency, refusing to work again for longer increments of time.

I reaaaally want a reliable camera by Lost Prairie. We leave on Friday, so I don't have much time.

Decisions.. my d-box fits a pc-9, 5 or 101 so my options are somewhat limited.

Thoughts?

I am facing the same dilemma - but the PC D boxes have gone the way of the 8 track eh?

After thousands of jumps with a D-Box, it only protected my cam from catastrophic damage maybe twice - I think I am going with a bracket next...

You can always try this

In a nutshell, it says to remove the battery and the tape, then give the cam a good whack or two, put the battery back in and try it out

I had this same error 2-3 times, and I kid you not it works. You dont haev to hit it very hard though.

Yeah.. I was using that repair for a while. It has quit working reliably though.

Also, the firewire port is broken on the camera, it would be nice to have that.
