ChunkyT 0 #1 May 29, 2003 Hey everyone. I know this is a serious newbie question, and there is probably a thread about this, but i can't find what I'm looking for. Are jump suits necessary? What advantages/disadvantages do they have? AggieDave 6 #2 May 29, 2003 necessary? Nope, I jump in street cloths all the time and even nekid a couple times. However! Dress for success. That means wearing something that will help give you control surfaces and range control. So if everyone is doing a formation in shorts and a t-shirt, you could probably go like that, if everyone is wearing their RW suits, you probably want to too. Ok, disadvatage to a jumpsuit...they can be warm in the summer and they cost $300-ish. But really, those aren't much of a disadvantage.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Jib 0 #4 May 29, 2003 An appropriate jumpsuit made a big difference to me because it slowed my big butt down enough to do RW with everyone else. With a tight fitting suit, it took a lot of effort and lost some mobility to stay about 111mph. My openings were a little softer going slower too. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. rickfri59 0 #5 May 29, 2003 I don't Know if I've just got the newbie jitters still, but I like the idea of a jump suit keeping my outer surface "clean", no loose stuff flapping around to cover handles. I have two suits and both have coudura (sp) on the knees and butt. I've had some good slides into home plate, and being covered up from head to toe with a helmet and a sturdy suit probably saved a few millimeters of skin each time. Shop the web for a suit. My latest was just over $200, including shipping from the other side of the world.
