leachcj 0 #1 June 25, 2007 I'm flying a Flat top Pro with a Cannon 350D. Currently using the standard 18-55mm lens from Canon. This Lens isn't wide enough for the Tandems I'm filming so request a wider lens. I Don't know what to buy? Should I go for a zoom lens, like Canon or Sigma 10-22mm lens, or should I consider a fixed lens, 15mm say. What about a Fisheye, maybe 10mm or 16mm. I know a lot of people dislike Fisheye results, but would it be suitable for my filming of Tandems. Usual distance around 1 metre from Tandem. Any help appreciated, Please Help?? Fast 0 #2 June 25, 2007 I jump the 15mm sigma fisheye. Some people say they hate the fisheye look, but with the digital cameras it isn't that bad and tandems never get to see fisheye pictures of themselves / can't tell in the air. Works for me! Here are 2 from this weekend and a door shot.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. mwabd1 0 #3 June 25, 2007 I jump a fixed Sigma 20mm on my 20D, great piece of glass and about half the price of the 15mm........I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

I'm at the same point of shopping for a still lens and should I also be trying to match the wideness with the still lens with my video lens. I'm doing tandem videos with a .3 lens. Those 15mm picts look pretty close to what I get on video(especially the door shot). Any have experience matching video to still: .3 video = ? still .45 // = ? //

Peej 0 #6 June 27, 2007 Currently i jump a PC 109 with a Kenko .45 and i use the Canon kit lens. In a few weeks i will be going to a .42 and looking for a Sigma 15 fixed or even the Tamron wide angle, the 11 to 18. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
