beavdog 0 #1 May 27, 2003 I am selling my rig and while getting all of the info together for potential buyers, I ran into a couple confusing issues with the Raven Series. On my reserve placard it says Raven III [d], but when I put my serial number into the Precision web site, it says I have a Super Raven. Does anybody know if there is a difference? Here's to the Breezes that blows through the Trezzez.....
riggerrob 643 #3 May 27, 2003 Super Raven III-d, 249 square foot, 7-cell reserve made of F-111 fabric in the late 1980s. When Precision started Raven production in 1983, they only made the Raven #-a model. Since they opened rather slowly, most Raven #-as were retro-fitted with bikini sliders to become Raven #-b. Raven #-c are rare. The first major re-design was the Super Raven #-d series. Since then Precision has made minor improvements that resulted in e,f,g,h,j and k series. The Raven Dash M was a major re-design that introduced spanwise construction on the bottom skin, etc. Also all Ravens smaller than 180 square feet are referred to as "Mini Ravens." To further confuse the issue, Precision just released their R-MAX series of reserves which have a new airfoil and more construction refinements.
