dmcoco84 5 #1 March 30, 2007 If I burned a DL DVD, will it read on a standard dvd player or dvd burner? Looking to purchase this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7996387&st=double+layer+dvd+external&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1155071062283 Coco
beowulf 1 #2 March 30, 2007 Yeah sure will. That's what commercial DVD's are written on. BTW standard DVD burners will generally write DL DVD's.
erikph 0 #3 March 30, 2007 the burner will do it OK. check if the software you are going to use with it supports creating a layer break for dual layer. use opposite track path for shorter pauze at the break, use parallel track path for less compatibility problems, especially if your disc is very full. (I remember DVD Studio Pro couldn't create a correct layer break in previous versions, don't know about now.)blue skies, http://myjumps.blogspot.com/
