Mostly_Harmless 0 #1 July 30, 2006 I am having a problem with capturing jumps on video during sunny days. The sun reflexs off of everything on the groung (streets, fields, water) and it washes out the picture. Is there any thing I can do to help prevent this. I have a PC109 with a Cookie Composites liquid lens with a UV filter. The camera is set on "beach" setting. Any ideas?_________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity

freefalle 0 #3 July 30, 2006 Could it have something to do with the white balance? I'm just tossing that out there as I really cant think of anything else other than the back lighting switch which some else already mentioned. I would try taking it off the beach setting and try one of the other settings as well to see if that helps
jtval 0 #4 July 30, 2006 My settings are White balance to OUTDOOR effects to SPORT and MANUAL FOCUS TO INFINITY BACK LIGHT and Nihgt VSION OFF does this happen inyour viewfinder only or when you play back the video? if its inthe veiw finder, than you can turn down the intensity. good luckMy photos My Videos
Sylvain 0 #5 July 30, 2006 I had the same problem with my HC22 in Beach & Ski mode. I switched to either Sport or Lanscape Mode (BTW Auto seems ok too), and no more problems. -- Sylvain
Icon134 0 #6 July 30, 2006 I've never had any problems (I have my camera set @ auto) but I have had experienced jumpers remind me that for the best video it was important to keep the sun at my back.Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
