What can I do with the sun?

Recommended Posts

I am having a problem with capturing jumps on video during sunny days. The sun reflexs off of everything on the groung (streets, fields, water) and it washes out the picture. Is there any thing I can do to help prevent this. I have a PC109 with a Cookie Composites liquid lens with a UV filter. The camera is set on "beach" setting. Any ideas?

Could it have something to do with the white balance? I'm just tossing that out there as I really cant think of anything else other than the back lighting switch which some else already mentioned. I would try taking it off the beach setting and try one of the other settings as well to see if that helps

My settings are
White balance to OUTDOOR
effects to SPORT
and MANUAL FOCUS TO INFINITY

BACK LIGHT and Nihgt VSION OFF

does this happen inyour viewfinder only or when you play back the video? if its inthe veiw finder, than you can turn down the intensity.

good luck

Thanks guys for all the advice. I am going to go play with the setting right now. Where can I find the back light switch? Also what menu is the whitebalanc and effects in? Thanks again guys!

On a PC109 yor backlight switch is mounted on the back of the camera right under your record button. It's a little silver button.
