PhreeZone 20 #1 July 21, 2006 What is the cost per DVD that you are using when you figure in your media, printing supplies and everything else? I had a professional company print me 500 earlier this year and I'm really really happy withthe results, but I'm looking to see if its cheaper in the end to sit down all winter and print out another couple of hundred on my own printer. My total cost for the DVD's shipping with white sleeves included was about 1.23 per DVD.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Chrissay 0 #2 July 21, 2006 Wow, that sounds pretty cheap to me. I print off all of mine and here are my costs. I get the printable DVD-R 16x for about .35-.40 each at Sam's Club. The white sleeves are about .10 each. I probaby run out of 1-2 ink cartridges for every batch of 100 I do. So excluding the cost of the printer which was about $99.00 EPSON R220. I spend about $.65-.80 on each DVD in batches of 100. The cool part is, we can change up the design of them anytime we want. Draw back is, sitting there and printing them. docjohn 0 #4 July 22, 2006 DVD....... 0.44 Postage..... 1.20 +/1 mailer......... 0.40 printing cartridge. who know's 0.15 ? my time (editing)........priceless So it's around $2 or less per disk. Considering I get $85 (minus my jump), its pretty negligible. I'd pay someone $20 to edit and mail and I'd still be a happy jumper. . robap26 0 #5 July 22, 2006 If you're getting them for $1.23 shipped then you are getting a good deal. The going rate for quantities under 1000 is $160 to $190. At $1.23 it is hardly worth doing them yourself. I produce discs for a number of clients (automated disc publishing machine) I have been known to produce small quantities for skydivers for around a buck (mates rates :)) Anyone interested PM me. pcalandra 0 #6 July 22, 2006 We are paying 1.34 for a Maxell DVD, high quality full color ink jet printing and a full sleeve black album in quantities of 100 or less from a local company in the Buffalo area called DPS video. We are also getting CD's with printing for under .50 each I forget the exact cost. Pat
