How does this deal sound?

1 year old Jav Odyssey with cypress
Hornet 170 main 120 jumps
tempo 170 reserve
spare cypress batteries, pack mat and bag
$3000.00

I thought the price sounded ok, but I wanted to check.
Also I am currently jumping an Aeroglide 160.
I know the Hornet is larger, but it is semi-elliptical so I would think I would get about the same or better performance out of it. It this a correct assumption?

I'd have figured around $2900 assuming that the Cypres is also a year old, not including the extras. So that's not a bad deal at all.

Any chance you can put a few jumps on the Hornet before making the purchase final? That's going to tell you far more about how the canopy compares to what you've been jumping than anyone can here.

So... is there any pink... err I mean magenta on the new stuff?

I fly a Hornet 190 and really like it. Loaded a little over 1:1. So it's fairly zippy when I want but opens great and flares very well, even in no wind. I have about 30 or so on mine brand new.

I think the important thing about this gear would be the colour.
Yeah what Lisa said, If the harness size is good and you have the money and need for the rig, go for it. Have you seen the equipment?

Sounds like a fair price. I fly a Hornet 170 and love it so far. Load mine about 1.1/1.
