sinker 0 #1 May 12, 2003 Hi everyone... I've searched the past posts re: the omega and omni 7 cells from Icarus. Some have said that the omni is simply an updated omega and that Icarus might've addressed the whole hard toggle input issue with the omni. So... 1. Is the omni in fact an updated omega? 2. If so, why is icarus still selling omegas? 3. How is the toggle pressure on omni's? thanks y'all -the artist formerly known as sinker
skydog 2 #2 May 12, 2003 I jump an omni 139 loaded at 1.6. I can't address the first two points but can say about toggle pressure. I have jumped a variety of canopies and found this to be light and responsive. No oversteer or control issues. the only thing was that turn had a longer toggle stroke until i shortened them to my liking. I have written a review for www.dirtdive.co.uk and can pm it to you if you want. All I can say is that I liked the demo so much I bought one. BrynJourney not destination..... Clownburner 0 #4 May 12, 2003 It would be even nicer if you could post it to the 'Gear' section here for reference.. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth

johnny1488 1 #6 May 13, 2003 My girlfriend jumped an omni for a while before moving to a safire2. She doesnt have tremendous arm strenght and found the omni to be great on toggles and flare. From what Simon at Icarus told me the omni has a greater performance range than the omega. It was different enough and they had the demand to keep producing both. He compared the omega to the performance of the spectre and the omni closer to a 9 cell performance, ie better glide and stronger flare. They will also make you a safire1 or crossfire1 if you want, just at the same price as the second generations. Try one out. Cant lose with their moneyback guarentee!
