jimmytavino 16 #2 May 9, 2006 there is a video store a few miles from me,, which has been a Sony dealer for decades... It's the kind of place that has literally hundreds of tape decks and cameras and monitors and dvd players stacked all over the place.. some of this stuff has been there for 20 years... Anyway.. I'm in there a lot and last time I asked them what they had in the way of batteries and chargers for the 1000. He has new batteries still available as well as a charger that's compatible with them.. Not sure if the charger is factory orginal, but he assures me it will work. he quotes me something around 125 for both.....
