kansasskydiver 0 #1 March 9, 2006 I just bought a 20D and am going to be getting a new CF card. Is there a huge difference with the extreme3 vs ultra2 if I won't be shooting in raw? Just curious if anyone has anyexperience with a 20D and either of the 2 cards<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!

kansasskydiver 0 #5 March 9, 2006 Cool, I can pick up a 2gig Ultra2 for under 80 shipped so I'll do that. The extreme3 was only 20bucks more at a 20mb read rate so I didn't know if that would help as I'll be doing a lot of bursts and using a firewire card reader<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! The111 1 #6 March 9, 2006 Chris, check out this post where I answered my own question and linked to this site, very cool info here. Select the pulldown bar in the upper right and choose your camera. This guy tested write speeds for many different CF cards in many different cameras and logged the results. The Extreme III, on the tests I looked at, did not perform significantly faster than the Ultra II. I got my Ultra II in the mail a few days ago and hopefully will get to use it this weekend. So far I've only used it to take pictures of a weird green bug I found in my room. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
