efs4ever 3 #1 February 25, 2006 I noticed some sore left shoulder muscles after four tandems with the hand cam. HERE are some stills from it. (Yes, the date is incorrect) PC 1000 (which, by the way, will not capture an image from tape to stick) . ____________Russell M. The posted pics are video frames. The videos are nice. _____________________Russell M. skydiveoc 0 #4 February 26, 2006 your image doesn't seem very wide. Are you using .25 black eye? It is noticably wider than a .3. Sore shoulder on 4 hand cams? I had a guy do 15 in one day. Try to limit arm out spirals under canopy. Do them with your arm a bit low where you can support it better. Try to frame the student more instead of you. It is tempting to point the lens at yourself but it must be lower. Im curious to check out the new Canon Optura 600. Supposed to be their answer to pc1000 / PC 350. I'll try your advice on future jumps, though. _______________Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
riggerrob 643 #6 February 27, 2006 Yes, While it may be easy to point the lens at your face, you are not the star of the video. It takes a greater effort to point the lens lower, at the student's face. The wider the lens the easier it gets. I used a Diamond 0.3 lens my first season of Handy-Mount and a Diamond 0.2 the second season.
skydiveoc 0 #7 February 27, 2006 Does diamond make a .2 now? Their web site only lists .3 and .5?
