Non reinforced risers

Recommended Posts

Non-reinforced (Type 17) mini risers are okay as long as you have soft opening canopy, ALWAYS pack neatly, ALWAYS keep your rubber bands tight, ALWAYS, etc.
You get the idea.
I would not buy a pair of non-reinforced risers - seeing as how they went out of production a decade ago - but I have an old pair in one of my rigs. I will use them until they wear out, then scrap them. judging by the fraying around one grommet, it will not be long until they are retired.

What are non-reinforced risers?

Mini (type 17) risers without the re-inforcement tape between the webbing at the grommet.

Throw them away.

Hook

Just some clarification:

Is the pic of reinforced risers, or non-reinforced?
