Dokeman 0 #1 January 5, 2006 On average, how many still pictures are you taking during a normal tandem video jump? And also what camera are you using. ?
vdschoor 0 #2 January 6, 2006 In total between 60-100, about 30-40 in freefall.. Iwan
mwabd1 0 #3 January 6, 2006 film = 25 digital = 45 avg. I mostly jump the film camera for tandems........but I do break out the 20d for freinds and special occasions! ________________________________________.......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own! jtval 0 #7 January 6, 2006 20-25 in freefall depends on how many I take on the ground. I use a FILM elph with APS. it ponly holds 25 pictures. I use them all , usually before the student lands. I rarely get landing stillsMy photos My Videos
billo 0 #8 January 7, 2006 i'd say 60-80 pics, with more than half of those being exit/freefall/deployment. shooting 20D w/ canon 20mm f/2.8.
ripcords 0 #9 January 7, 2006 You can get a 40 exposure roll of aps film for your elph or be less tongue happy so the tandems can have landing shots
jtval 0 #10 January 8, 2006 I'd rather take them all in freefall, actually. I can not hear the film clicking away so I don't actually know if they take or not. I REALLY like getting to the ground and seeing the big ZERO on the picture counterMy photos My Videos
Shyandinnocent 0 #11 January 23, 2006 Normally around 80-90 from exit to landing on Rebel large. fine setting, but delete the not so good shots, so the customer walks away with around 70.... It's never too late for a low turn!
Faber 0 #12 January 23, 2006 i think most tandem students see a tandem jump as a all experience not only freefall,i think they would be more happy to get some ground shots aswell Stay safe Stefan Faber
jtval 0 #13 January 24, 2006 so do I but I won't sarcifice the shots in the air just to get the landing shots. MOST of the time they get the video along with it. out of the100 - 150 tandems I filmed I can count on one hand those who ONLY got stills. I film the jump anyway and they can decide if they want the vid. I tell them that I didnt get any landing shots before they leave so they know what to expect. its all I can do..so thats all I doMy photos My Videos
