Checking on new gear

Would I be considered a pain in the ass if I called a manufacturer to check on the status of a container I ordered? I'm going on a trip at the end of the month and I would like to take my new container with me.

Call the dealer you bought it through, not the manufacturer (unless of course you ordered directly from the manufacturer). Your dealer should have an estimated shipping date from the manufacturer - most manufacturers send out an order confirmation within a couple of weeks of the date it was ordered.

Just an FYI - nearly every US manufacturer is running a bit behind right now, some further than others. The estimated shipping date on an order confirmation is just that - an estimate. Most of the time most manufacturers deliver on time... but shit does happen.

how long has it been?? if it is close to the time they said it would be in, i'd call. to check to see it will be on scheduale. and if not, if there is anything you could do to make it get here a bit faster, like rush it or something.

It's a Wings. It should be ready on the 16th but I was just wondering if I could check to see if it will be delivered on time.

wings is running a little behind...mine should have shipped today, but will not be in the mail till monday if shit doesn't happen... i think that everyone out there (this is my assumption not based on any facts - i know, assumption is the mother of all f*ckups) is running behind right now...
