Who owns a Sidewinder-2 Camera Helmet?

Recommended Posts

I looking for some feedback on the Sky Systems Sidewinder -2 camera helmet. The pictures on their web site are not the greatest and I was wondering how they compare to the original Sidewinder.

With the PC-1000 being out, I'm told by Sky Systems that they fit into the box quite well with only a few shims. New box to be made for the PC-1000 shortly.

I have the Sidewinder O2. It is the camera version of the Oxygen, as opposed to the original Sidewinder which was the camera version of the Factory Diver. Main differences are the Oxygen & O2 have a flip-up lens, and the camera box is very different.

The camera box on the original Sidewinder was smoothly integrated into the helmet. The door pretty much split the box in half. On the O2, the door is the camera box. It looks more like a box added to a nearly normal helmet. I suspect it was a heck of a lot easier to design and build than the original Sidewinder.

If you want some photos of the O2, let me know.

Sidewinder 2? I'd love to see it. I've worn out my original Sidewinder after 7 years. I was thinking about buying a RAWA helmet but I like the full face shield of the Sidwinder.

I went to Sky Systems web page but couldn't find any info on Sidewinder 2. Where can I find info?
