Handy-Mount for static-line students

Recommended Posts

The wing-mounted camera on our Cessna died last week, so I videoed a bunch of static-line, IAD and early freefall students (29 in total) using my Sony HC40 stuffed in a Handy-Mount.
It took me a couple of loads to work out the angles.
I mainly used the video footage for debriefs, but by the end of the day, several students insisted on buying footage.
It helped a lot that most of these students were doing their second, third, fourth, etc. jumps. I am still reluctant to wear Handy-Mount while dispatching first-timers ... given their propensity for inventing new exits, etc.
Does any one else have similar experience?
