diablopilot 2 #1 April 30, 2003 FYI Quote CYPRES 2 offers additional features and attributes including: "Unit is water-resistant for 15 minutes at a depth of 15 feet (5 meters) in fresh and salt water. "Power supply of CYPRES 2 is no issue. There is no need to observe a battery replacement date, record the number of jumps made, monitor the voltage during self-test, purchase a battery, or have a rigger open or repack the reserve for this reason. Neither you, nor your customer, nobody has to pay attention to the power supply. "Unit serial number accessible from the display anytime you want to see it. "Next maintenance due date accessible from the display anytime you want to see it "Reminds you when the maintenance date comes near. "Smaller and lighter. "Robust, rigger friendly case, with rounded corners and edges, and in addition it is water-resistant. "Extended maintenance window: +/- 6 months from month of manufacture, no down-time during the busy part of the year regardless of month of manufacture. "Self-test is completed in 10 seconds. Proven parameters remain the same: "activation altitudes "activation velocities "user interface (single pushbutton) "loop cutting system "14 hours run time The handling of the CYPRES 2 is simple: After purchase, put it into a CYPRES-ready container and forget about it for 4 years* Then have the maintenance done and forget about it for another 4 years.* Then have another maintenance done and forget about it for another 4 years. * * Except for switching it on at the beginning of the day, and changing the filter after a water landing. They still have a 12 year life limit, and should cost about 11-14% more according to airtec---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. PhreeZone 20 #2 April 30, 2003 11-14% but you don't have to pay $90 every other year? Save over $250 in Batteries alone. Reminder on the maintence date on the display... SWEET! 6 month windows are much nicer. I would to have like to have seen a metal case though.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

rigging65 0 #20 May 1, 2003 Why? It's not like there is anythign wrong with the Cypres 1 units...they're going to be around for a long time to come. Of course, you could always sell it as used and get the new "cool guy" model "...and once you had tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward.
