PD126r 0 #1 August 8, 2005 Help! I'm jumping with a Sony TRV 900 and have an image-quality problem. When filming upwards (exits and tandems) or with bright (e.g cloudy) backgrounds the image flutters. It doesn't really shake as I've herad some people complain about, it just rapidly changes between lighter and darker. I belive someone referred to it as "Floating Iris" but it might not be the same thing... Does anyone have any idea of why this happens, or most important: Any tips on how to get rid of the problem? Please...? Halvor
jdhill 0 #2 August 8, 2005 It sounds like the floating iris issue... There are two ways to fix the problem... don't film upwards, or get a different camera. The only thing that I have seen that will reduce (not eliminate) the shifting is to manually set your white-balance rather than let the camera do it in auto... in all seriousness, if you are going to shoot upwards, this is not the right camera.
