Does anyone have any suggestions for a setup? 1) This is a question best asked in the "Photography and Video" forum. 2) If you follow the forum rules and suggestions and do a search for this topic, you will find more than enough information. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
StevePhelps 0 #3 August 8, 2005 What type of video? Freeflying? (most use side mounts cameras) tandem? (many prefer top mounts with still capabilities) MOST everyone uses SONY camcorders. They are more airworthy than many other popular brands, like JVC, Panasonic, etc. Sony has a "flavor of the month" quite often so what many of us use is "old stuff" in a short period of time. The good news about that is you can find Sony HC 40s on Ebay real cheap. If you are really serious, do as advised and search the photog forum. When I first started filming tandem I went and read most posts from the beginning. I found a lot of good stuff as I was reading. Good luck, be safe!
