mccordia 74 #1 June 29, 2005 I've had a Sidewinder helmet for quite a while, and made over 200 happy camera-jumps with it. But a few weeks ago, the shabby small hinge on the camera-cover (that had me doubting if I should replace it ever since I had the camera....gues I should have) gave out on a jump, and uppon flipping over to film a tandem-opening, I also saw the cover of my precious helmet disappear into the lovely sky above me (and never managed to find it again...we were jumping in gale-force winds...so it could have gone anywhere) Luckely my camera is so snug in there it stayed put (it's not screwed down or anything...only held by the cover, and an elastic band inside....glad it stayed thereBut the lid/cover is looossst.... I've asked and the 'sidewinder-people' can't just send me replacement (and several other people offered to make a mold and make me one for the cost of a complete new helmet) Soo....my helmet now looks like this (see attachment) and I'm probably going to have to 'retire' it. But I just wanted to give it one last try here Does ANYONE maybe have a semi-destroyed Sidewinder camera-helmet at home, that by any chance stil has the cover intact. And would you be willing to part with it....to help a lonely Dutch boy...(may cost a few bucks ofcource...nothing is for free in this worldHeeelp meeeeeeee!JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? Deano 0 #4 June 30, 2005 I have a L/XL Sidewinder helmet with the flip up lens option I am looking to get rid of. It has approx. 30-50 jumps on it. PM me if you are interested.
