sdctlc 0 #5 June 2, 2005 that loos cool and all but what good is it if you have to hook it up to a camcorder anyway? I guess yu could stick it into a pouch and then run the lens up to whatever? Mabe I am missing the usefulness of this???? Cool though but you need a camcorder anyway... Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

A similar mount for a whole camera would have been much more complicated and dangerous. I can think of a few other interesting shots that would be easier to get with a lipstick camera. It could definitely be fun to play with.

Scott C. It saves your neck, since the weight of the camera is on your belly. CaTo at least is jumping one full time, she even has two so she can switch viewpoints in flight . ciel bleu, Saskia
genoyamamoto 0 #9 June 2, 2005 There was a guy visiting elsinore that had a little camera on a pc board that he was jumping, similar idea. He kept the camcorder in a fannypack. The video looked fine. The only thing he noted was that the aperture/gain (however they do it on these mini cameras) was slow to adjust to changing light situations. Gotta go... plaything needs to spank me Feel the hate... It might save your neck but its specs say: Resolution: 380 TV lines About half of standard today... like I said good for specality jumps but probably not usefull for selling and the such... phoenixlpr 0 #11 June 3, 2005 You may get better ones. There are bullet cams with 480 and 520 TV lines too.

There are a 4 versions of them noted. http://www.shop.viosport.com/store/customer/ourgear.php?page=gear_overview The manufacturer page has some good information including camera compatability information/lists.... http://www.shop.viosport.com/support/index.php?page=compatibility Looks like a good number of the cameras out there will work but more will not. They basically say that you need to have a "AV in/out" on the camera, not the firewire in/out. Like most manufacturers they say "check you manual" and "If you can record to your camcorder from a VCR or other analog output source" it should work.... Scott C. see my website: cato.makes.it and look in the about section. Even professional camera people do not see real differences between my shots and shots made with a normal camcorder. I've amde compilation video's with shots from both types of camera's in it: no difference noticed by any of the audience, ever. So using a good bullet cam, and a good camera, is not onlys aving your neck, but also giving acceptable (and better!) quality pictures regardsCaren
