jtval 0 #1 May 6, 2005 ok I have a question. I went lookig at some digicams today and I could figure out how to figure out which ones had remote shutter release ports. since no one knew WTF i was talking about when I asked I was left in the dark. so can you explain to me what the port looks like? there was the little (kinda looked like an IPOD) symbol on a few of them but I'm not POSITIVE that that was it. also what kinda of lens is good for filming (i.E. some of them were 2.8-5.8) or something like that. if they were 3Xzoom the low number was abou 2.8. how does that translate into width of lens?My photos My Videos
dragon2 2 #2 May 7, 2005 Most digital photo camera's that are not reflex camera's do not have remote shutter releases. The numbers 2.8- etc have to do with light, not with the angle of view. 2.8 is ok, 5.8 is poorer. The field of view would be a number like say 28-105, with 28 mm being the widest. Most digital pocket camera's don't go any wider then 35 mm, when you'd like 24 mm. ciel bleu, Saskia
murrays 0 #3 May 7, 2005 The Sony digicams that have a plug in labeled "ACC" should have a remote available. The remote I bought for my old DSC S75 will zoom in and out as well as release the shutter. Don't know about other brands. Try looking through specs on the manufacturer's website.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
