You can also double click on "track 1" and rename it... you can double click in the blank space in the artisit column and do the same... just like renaming any other file on your computer...

Can someone help me and tell me after you put a CD in and download the tracks you like from that cd to itunes, How do you type the name of the track and the artist it is bye in the space. All mine says is track 1 and i would like to get the names on it..

Make sure your computer is connected to the internet when you download your music off of the CD, and it will look it up in the CDDB database for you :P to this day I've never had to type in the track names for a cd I downloaded into iTunes

Do you know if you can update the info for songs if they're already downloaded to itunes or only as you initially download them?

I think it only works when you have the original (or a straight copy) CD... I don't think it will update songs you have already downloaded...

Josh is right, it will not update the songs you already have I think.. just the ones you download as you're connected to the internet.
