stratostar 5 #2 April 3, 2005 I'm using a 24mm sigma, works great for freefall. ~you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
skydiveoc 0 #3 April 3, 2005 im talking about the 12-24 wide-zoom. not the 24 fixed. josh
PhreeZone 20 #4 April 3, 2005 Slayer2600 was looking at the lens. I played with it at my local camera shop. VERY sweet lens. I'd be afraid of getting my helmet in the picture with a vertically mounted camera on a FTP unless the lens was at the front edge of it.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
stratostar 5 #5 April 3, 2005 Haven't had the problem with mine, top mounted on FTP. Mine sit's back some form the lip. ~you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
PhreeZone 20 #6 April 3, 2005 Are you using the 24 fixed? On a Digital camera is'nt htat pushing it towards the 38mm range? Have you had to start flying back any more then normal?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
skydiveoc 0 #7 April 3, 2005 hey phreezone, is it much wider at the 12 than the 15mm fisheye? josh
shogo 0 #8 April 3, 2005 yeah, how does that work? Is 15mm fisheye "wider" than 12mm or 14mm lenses (non-fisheye)? wider meaning how much area the lens cover on a developed picture. Thanks.
stratostar 5 #9 April 4, 2005 Yes I have it on a 10 d and no I don't have to fly back real far, or more then normal. There are times I wouldn't mind having a tad more field of view, but this is the lens I could afford at the time I got my 10d.
