steve1 5 #1 March 7, 2005 I've been looking over all the canon rebel series cameras and am wondering which would be good for camera flying. There are so many that seem similiar that it is kind of confusing. I was hoping not to spend over $250 for the camera body. Thanks a lot....Steve1
freefalle 0 #2 March 7, 2005 In my opinion they all work just fine, for 35 mm I have a rebel TI and its been good for me, be aware though, some of the older ones do not have a remote input so you wont be able to have a bite switch to use. Good luck and have fun
sdctlc 0 #3 March 7, 2005 I have a Rebel 2000 that takes great pics. It has the standard trigger input and is easy to use. Also can pick um up on E-bay cheap... I got mine in like new condition delivered for under $100 w/o a lens. I shoot with a 22-55mm lens on it (from another canon I had) and it gives huge amount of versatility. Just a great basic set up. Miami 0 #4 March 7, 2005 The Rebel 2000 is the lightest in the EOS line as far as I know. It is one of the more popular 35mm cameras as far as skydiving is concerned. And like Scott said, you can pick up a nice one on eBay for $100 or so. Hope this helps...Miami
steve1 5 #5 March 7, 2005 Thanks for the advice, guys. I picked up a rebel 2000 today on ebay. It had a nice variable lens I can use for other things. Paid $150 for it all in factory sealed boxes. My next purchase will be a lens for it that will work for skydiving. I also liked the looks of the (ti) model but ended up with the 2000....Steve1
