Stumpy 284 #1 March 3, 2005 Hi all, Does anyone know of any good online tutorials? I am trying to learn how to edit and at the moment i seem to be struggling with even simple functions such as adding music etc. The Help tutorials go straight from capture, to adding animated pictures from photoshop without seeming to have any of the useful stuff in between!!!! Maybe i'm dumb, but it would be nice to have the abc of premier spelt out for me "my first video" style!!!! Any help appreciated.... nacmacfeegle 0 #2 March 3, 2005 Try http://www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/tut_premierepro.htm Some folks here seem to think its okay, but I've never felt the need to visit. Alternatively, post specific problems once you have the basics. I'm not that familiar with Prem Pro, but am pretty much up to speed with its prededcessors.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Zoter 0 #3 March 3, 2005 Hit Ebay and get a book....... Perfect reading for shitty weather days at the DZ ( plenty of them so far in the UK this year) ...and whilst you are sitting on the throne. Personally .....I usually 'play' with editing software to figure out how to do what I needed to do. With Premiere I struggled......I got a cheapo book and was up and running in no time. I think if you dont have alot of time on other editing programs...Premir can be a little tricky to pick up the 'play to learn' way.... The good news is...its hard to pick up because it can do just about everything......so once you have figured out how to do things, you probably wont need to learn another program....and if you do, chances are it will be part of the Adobe family ( eg After Effects, Illustrator, Encore) which has a similar layout Edited to add......nacmacs link is a good one....lots of stuff on there....be sure to look in the Tuts for ver.6,6.5 as well....can all be used in Prem.Pro
AndyMan 7 #4 March 3, 2005 Your best bet would be to buy a book. All of the good tech publishers have versions. QUE, or SAM's.... _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
PhreeZone 20 #5 March 3, 2005 I found th Adobe Press books to be realy good too. Pro has so many different things from 6 and 6.5 that it was well worth my time to start from page 1 in the books.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Stumpy 284 #6 March 3, 2005 Thanks all - went out and just bought "adobe Premier Pro Bible" by Droblas and Greenberg, as it seemed to get reasonable reviews. If anyone is interested i can let you know what i think of it in a couple of weeks?? Thanks again, DaveNever try to eat more than you can lift
