sdctlc 0 #2 December 31, 2004 Have one and use it on a BatRack with a D-box from BoneHead. Works great but I dont use the esy function as it will only auto focus with it. Size and weight are very light and output is awesome. I am very happy with it"He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

riggerrob 643 #4 January 1, 2005 I did about 200 jumps with my Sony HC40 this past summer, all hand-mounted. A salesman - at the Sony Store - assured me that it has the same "guts" as the 30% more expensive PC109. ... very happy with my HC40.
videointhesky 0 #5 January 1, 2005 I think that you would be Much Happier with a Canon 10D
dqpacker 7 #6 January 1, 2005 First is the body of the hc40 the same size as the hc20 and what lens do you use?

You cannot tell the difference at arm's length. I use a low-profile, Diamond 0.2 wide-angle lens for hand-mounted video, though you will probably want their 0.5 lens for outside video.
