jont 0 #1 December 13, 2004 Hi, can anyone advise please If I go mad and treat myself to a Canon 20D while I'm in the states for the Xmas boogie then a) do I get exactly the same camera I would get if I bought it at home in the UK, and b) will it be covered by warranty once I get it home? And if it breaks, will I have to ship it back to the US, or can I take it to a local repairer. All advice greatly received Jon T
dragon2 2 #2 December 13, 2004 The camera should be the same, in this case even th label is the same (not like 300D vs DigiRebel). The power supply for the batteries will have the wrong plug, though I think most power supplies can handle both 110V and 220V nowadays so you should be okay there. The warranty I believe is not valid in the UK so you'd have to send the camera back. So that's the price you pay for a cheaper camera, no (or hard-to-get) warranty... ciel bleu, Saskia
