mindcool 0 #1 April 14, 2003 I would like to know if Slinks are allowed to use on Aerodyne's Diablos? and is it safe? What's the manufactur recommandations about that? Blue Skies Shaggy
PhreeZone 20 #2 April 14, 2003 Main slinks can be installed on any canopy. If you have your Diablo as a reserve... you might have issues As far as the manufactors, most now ship their canopies with soft links of some type. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
mindcool 0 #3 April 14, 2003 Do u have any idea about using PD slinks on that? I know i've used it on my Hornet and it has been a blast. i'm not quiet sure though, about the recomandation of both manufactors....
BadDog 0 #4 April 14, 2003 I use Slinks on my Diablo. I have them on my reserve too. As stated, you only need to worry about "approval" in the case of a reserve (note: I'm only talking about what applies in the U.S.).
PhreeZone 20 #5 April 14, 2003 PD slinks are fine to use on any main canopy that I've ever seen (minus those with Darcon line unless you use reserve links). Metal links vs softlinks are up to the jumper, the manufactor does'nt usually care one way or the other. I just started making some softlinks last weekend for myself and I'm going to test them on my canopy soon, buying PD Slinks are an easy way to do them, your rigger could make softlinks also if you ask.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
