Hazards of flying cameras.

Recommended Posts

if you think about anything enough you can come up with hazards, but i dont feel its dangerous either. i actually concentrate on postion duiring opening more, do to the fact that i have objects protuding from my head. i guess one thing that new camera flyers do is "fly the camera" and forget about altitude.

John Chapman (the then APF Technical Officer) wrote an excellent article for the Australian Skydiving Magazine (ASM) called "Camera Safety". It was in an edition in the second half of 2003 (unsure of which one). I thought it was the best 'up-to-date' summary of the hazards associated with Camera. You could get in touch with the Australian Parachuting Federation (APF) to see if they could source it for you.

I was being sarcastic, Squirrel. There are quite a few dangers involved with camera flying, loss of altitude awareness is merely one of them. Getting complacent with safety is another - Be careful dude
