Question for a rigger

Recommended Posts

Shamu!

I'm not a rigger but the last time I hooked up a new canopy it took me about 15minutes -max- to do this on my spectre (brake settings marked on the lines).

To attach the steering lines, if the canopy is laid out and straight, 5 minutes. Assemble a new canopy to the risers completely, 30-45 minutes. Fully assemble, including bag and PC, and INSPECT a new main on risers, at least an hour and a half. More like two, depending on the level of inspection.;) Add a little time if your taking it off old risers, add more time if it's not on risers or a card and is all tangled up.

Pick an answer that matches the question your really asking. Your results may vary.B| The level of inspection can vary from "yep, its a parachute" to examining every inch and every stitch, inside and out.

i will interject as the donkey of reason (meaning i am not a rigger either and was very fortunate to make it thru puberty), take as much time as you need to do it right! releasing brakes and having the line pop off the toggle would not be money! i can name that tune in 4 notes....
