mr2mk1g 10 #2 July 29, 2004 Anything's possible... but I wouldn't. The Gunner is very flexible and has very rounded sides that flare out round those over-sized dytter pockets. Your camera would sit further away from your head than nessasery because of this and you'd have to fill the gap between the mounting bracket and helmet with heavy filler. That's a less than ideal situation... but it could be made to work. I always understood that a good camera helmet would be stiffer than the Gunner too so as to minimise movement in the camera. Have you considered buying a second helmet for camera? That way you will always be able to jump without camera when you want.
silvere 0 #3 July 29, 2004 yeah I was afraid that was going to be the answer. I just didn't want to spend the money for a new camera helmet. guess I'll see if I can sell my gunner. thanks!
Chrisky 2 #4 July 29, 2004 Seriously second that. I do have a Guner for no-cam jumps (awesome helmet), and have a Rawa for video jumps(dto.). I can recommend two helmets if you will be doing a number of jumps w/o video, as the empty video helmet with the mount still is a snag hazard. Both feature easily accessible audible pockets, so you can flick them around really quick. I'd recommend a second helmet and keeping the gunner for those no-cam jumps. HTHThe mind is like a parachute - it only works once it's open. From the edge you just see more. ... Not every Swooper hooks & not every Hooker swoops ...
