rigging65 0 #5 April 7, 2003 Pointer's Manuals are written as technical manuals, so they're not always the easiest thing to read (not to mention DRY). Your best bet is to go hang out in the loft for a while and ask questions...or better yet, take a rigger's course yourself. Rigging isn't brain surgery, it's just technique applied in the correct situation. Sometimes you must remove yourself from the computer and go outside to find the answers that you desire. mofo554 0 #6 April 7, 2003 The problem is that I am stuck at college with no chance of being at the DZ for at least a month and a half...probably even longer.

Do them by rig part, such as leg strap, harness, riser, whatever. Then take all that information with you when you do get to the DZ, and the rigger can tell you his/her opinion on the item/issue.Fly it like you stole it! skybytch 273 #9 April 9, 2003 Pick up a copy of "Parachuting, the Skydiver's Handbook" by Dan Poynter (available at many fine gear dealers or direct from ParaPublishing). You'll find a whole chapter devoted to explaining equipment. Best $20 a new jumper can spend, imho.
