koz2000 1 #2 March 23, 2004 If you don't have a Firewire port (IEEE1394), you'll have to get one of thoes. When I initially started doing video editing on a non-pro basis, I used Pinnacle Studio 7.0 (it was about $100 usd at the time) EXTREMELY easy to use. However Adobe Premire has much better transitions and effects. my .02______________________________________________ - Does this small canopy make my balls look big? - J. nacmacfeegle 0 #3 March 23, 2004 I'm assuming we are talking abut full res video here, does the Pooter already have firewire on board Squeakster? If not you will need a firewire (also known as IEEE 1394) card, check out the ADS Pyro range. The basic kits come with lite versions of ULead's Media Studio. That should be enough to get you started. I use a Pyro PCMCIA card with no hassles at all. If you already have firewire on the PC, and XP Pro, you may want to try Microsoft's Movie Maker, but I don't know anything at all about this. But I think it comes with the XP bundle.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Faber 0 #4 March 23, 2004 i will recomend you to buy Pinnacle Studio 8 or later,i guess you can get it for 100$ish inkluding a fireweire port(which means all you´ll need to get started. Pinnacle is one of the most easy to use edit programs out there,i use it all the time,i actualy dont even borther to use Premie,as i think it(might becours of my bad english)is too complicated.. In pinnacle you upload your video 1st place, next you make your video(inkluding music and all)3 room you tell the program which qually and in which gender(mpeg, avi divx and so) you want it in..next thing you´ll do is wait as its render the movie, pop you got your video.. Stay safe Stefan Faber
