ChasingBlueSky 0 #1 March 11, 2004 Found this tonight: CinePaint is an open source painting program used by motion picture studios to retouch images in 35mm films. It was formerly called Film Gimp. It has been used in a dozen feature films including Harry Potter, Scooby-Doo, and the Fast & the Furious. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=75029 But, no photoshop plugins. Just wondering if it worth learning how to use it?_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... nacmacfeegle 0 #2 March 11, 2004 You can do much the same thing as this by exporting from premiere as a filmstrip file, then messing around in photoshop. Or generating an alpha matt and painting on that if the painting is essentially static. I've heard of Cinepaint but have never used it, always seemed like a 'different coloured mousetrap' and I 've never really had justifiable cause to say add a couple of jumpers to a big way..........-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. nacmacfeegle 0 #4 March 11, 2004 "But I like this: It's free" Ah yes, but your time to learn how to use it is probably beyond value.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
