shawnstarr 0 #1 March 8, 2004 I’m really bad when it comes to technology. I’m wondering how to take my footage from my pc-7 and get it to my laptop. I don’t think it has a firewire port. Only usb and a yellow video out. Do I need to buy firewire software to install in my computer???? I have editing software. You need 4 pin on one side to plug into the camcorder and 4 or 6 on the other side to plug into your lantop port. the card on that link has 6 pin ports. FrancoR 0 #7 March 9, 2004 You probably have a 4 pin Firewire port on your Laptop, that looks like the one in the first picture. If you have a 6 pin Firewire port, wich is uncomon for laptops it will look like the port on the right in the second picture.If it does not cost anything you are the product.
