diverds 0 #26 March 12, 2004 I don't get it. Why are you not mounting your stills on the front? Skydive Radio
LouDiamond 1 #27 March 12, 2004 Dude, you're gonna break your neck with that setup or at least put a few kinks in it. I think you should look at making the stills on the front work for safety sake. Lot of "go wrong" potential the way you have it now IMO."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
MattM 0 #28 March 12, 2004 Front mount the still camera and take that damned .3 wide angle off and get a .5 or somethin. then the still camera wont be in view, maybe. Matt

The still will be "out of the picture" with the .5 I have the .5 on mine and the still doesn't come into the video if I bump the zoom just a little bit. In your case, since your camera is higher than mine, you won't even have to do that. Iwan

Have you had any less than perfect openings with it yet? Any significant line twists, hard openings, line dumps, etc? You will learn a lot more about it when that happens. How many jumps on the camera set-up like that? Do you stick your head out to check the spot? Can you freefly (on your head) well with it? peace lewhttp://www.exitshot.com
 DaGimp 0 #34 March 14, 2004 QuoteHave you had any less than perfect openings with it yet? Quote How many jumps on the camera set-up like that? Well I have put about 200 jumps on it with the video...but only about 10 with the camera. QuoteDo you stick your head out to check the spot? yes...more drag then before but like anything new it takes getting used to. QuoteCan you freefly (on your head) well with it? Can I freefly well on my head anyway??? Na I have takin it on a FF jump and had no problems with it. If you put all that on the very top of the helmet and you are falling face down, wouldn't that cause added leverage on your neck? Wasn't side mounting used to take weight off the top to keep from puttling your head down to your chest on other than normal openings? I want to add a still but since a VERY hard opening and screwing up 5 disc (only one good one now) in my neck i'm just hopping to be able to keep jumping. Had I had all that weight on the very top of my head I would have had a broke neck.
