sdgregory 0 #1 March 5, 2004 I have Pinnacle Studio 8 and a JVC GR-D70U mini-DV recorder. When I capture the video and try to play it back the video skips and the audio sounds like it is vibrating over thin metal. Can anyone help me out? I have been to their website and it is no help and I have been on hold for over 30 minutes.
PhreeZone 20 #2 March 6, 2004 When you are playing the video back on the computer is the camera still on? If so try it off once.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

sdgregory 0 #4 March 6, 2004 I tried the web boards and nothing there helps. Phree, it is jerky during capture and during playback. And it does it now matter whether the camera is hooked up or not. It also does it both through analog and through 1394 cable. They should call it 1369 - unlucky cock-sucker. Actually, this morning I removed the card and installed on a different, slower system, and it works spot on. I think there is a hardware/software compatability issue with either SB live! 5.1 or with nVidia GeForce 4. And I cannot find any newer drivers than the ones I have from 2002. It just sucks cuz now I have to use my wife's system to edit my video. I hate sitting at her desk because mine is cooler. Damn. Gotta solve this issue. FYI if anyone can help AMD ATHLON XP 2100+ nVidia Geforce 4 MMX 440 SB Live! 5.1 Digital 512 DDR RAM Windows 98SE (I refuse to change to XP) - and I use 98SE on the other system that this works on so no 98 bashing. If you are aware of compatability issues, any help is great.
skydiver51 0 #5 March 7, 2004 I use Studio 8 and haven't had any problems like those. You might try searching for video editing sites other than Pinnacles. I also have an nvidia card. It's not G force though.
prost 0 #6 March 8, 2004 When you bring up the capture video screen, click on the settings tab. Check to see if the encoding mode is set to default. If it is change it to "Encode after capturing". Try capturing again. If you try capturing in MPEG format you will usually need to do this with studio unless you are using a very fast machine.
