JJ269J 0 #1 March 2, 2004 Hey guys, I did a search and it returned a billion hits, so let me just ask for opinions here . I am shopping for a still cam to mount on my helmet. I think I am going with a Canon Rebel G2. I want a lens that has approx. the same field of view as my PC100 with a .45X wide angle lens, and don't know whether to get a 28mm or 24mm or what. Has anybody experimented with this (of course you have)? Thanks in advance to all the photo gurus!!

WayCool 0 #3 March 3, 2004 I used to jump a PC100 with a 0.5 and a 0.45 conversion lens. I jumped it with an SLR 35mm with a 24mm fixed sigma lens and found the combination to work very well. The stills was a little wider than the video frame and I think that is best. Cheers Stay Cool http://www.waycool.com.au
JJ269J 0 #4 March 3, 2004 Thanks guys!! Your help is always apprieciated. Since the camera comes with a 28mm, I'll start with that and then get a 24mm. I agree that a little wider still is better. Thanks again
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account.
