freeflir29 0 #1 February 29, 2004 OK....so I did some jumps on my new camera set up. I'm using the same lens(Kenko SGW .43) that I had on my Panasonic. However, the PC 105 has a SIGNIFICANTLY tighter field of view. I want a wider lens but I'm not sure that I'll be able to go all the way to a .3. I have a new D Box with the flip top lid. The camera is mounted just as far forward as I can get it and the .43 is even with the box lip. I'm concerned that a .3 will be so wide, and shorter profile, that I'll have to move the whole box or possibly even do some cutting on it to get the box edges out of the shot. Anyone have any experiences with this yet?
Deuce 1 #2 February 29, 2004 The new style box with the hinges on both sides and the cable? I cut the front of the box down on my table saw. Including the hinge. Get another overnight to SFO and I'll fix it
freeflir29 0 #3 February 29, 2004 Quote The new style box with the hinges on both sides and the cable? Yep....that one. I guess it really wouldn't take much. One of the guys I work with is "Super Carpenter" guy and I'm sure he has a table saw. I guess I'll go ahead and order one and figure it out when it gets here. freeflir29 0 #4 February 29, 2004 I guess it's a mute point now. I just ordered it about 5 minutes ago. Damn I'm weak when it comes to new camera stuff.

I'm already thinking about buying an ENTIRE new set up, minus the cameras cause I can swap those out, for doing dedicated camera work and keep my current helmet for JUST free flying. Whoa is me.........
