Jessica 0 #1 March 31, 2003 I have a used Bev suit that's a little tight on me. The torso is a bit short, and it's made for someone who weighs about 15 lbs less than me. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I'm thinking about doing the Airspeed mod I read about here (a slit in the back just below the collar) to allow me to arch more. Does anyone else have tips? Maybe I'll just go on a diet.Skydiving is for cool people only
Stacy 0 #2 March 31, 2003 call Bev or email her. she's been pretty good with me about jumpsuit mods. if there's anything that can be done she'd know and is willing to help out/give advice.

cheneyneel 0 #4 March 31, 2003 through having a number of different jump suits I find so much easier and QUICKER just to use a local taylor.. I am sure that the suit company can help you but then you have to ship it, let them do it and then have it shipped back.. Go to a taylor and they will have it next day or day after for like 10$ for what your talking about and just as neat as anyone from the suit company.. Stacy 0 #6 April 1, 2003 i tried taking mine to a few tailors. they took one look at the cordura, the booties, the pleats, grippers, etc and handed it back to me like i was joking in the first place.
Jessica 0 #7 April 1, 2003 I don't mind sending it back to Bev. I can't really use it like this anyway. I'm just wondering if there's anything she can do -- it's not like she can add more spandex to the back panel to accommodate my fat ass, is it? Or can she?Skydiving is for cool people only
Stacy 0 #8 April 1, 2003 she may be able to. i don't know for sure, but if this is something do-able i'd think she would be the one with the knowledge.
floormonkey 0 #9 April 1, 2003 Hey Jess- there's a place in San Marcos we've used to do a few alterations with no problem (and quick turnaround). They can do just about anything, I'll get their number for you if you want.

Jessica 0 #12 April 1, 2003 Bev got back to me right away, and she sez she can put a gusset in the crotch which would help with the torso length, and she can adjust the size of the side panel to accommodate all the beer I've been drinking. Sounds like a good deal to me, since I can't really use the suit as is. Thanks for the tips, guys. QuoteSo does this mean I'm still an asshole?
